Job Title: Research/Skip Tracing Clerk

Location: Dallas Office

Reports To: Collections Manager

Overview (Primary Purpose):

Seeking a well-organized individual with excellent computer research and skip-tracing skills. Candidate must have excellent math, organizational, communication, writing, and personal computer skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for the research of delinquent taxpayers, businesses and corporations, including the identification of names, addresses and phone numbers using internet and computer resources.

Minimum job requirements include:

Experience:

• At least two (2) years research, skip tracing or collections experience

· A working knowledge of business entities and corporations, including their business formation and registration requirements with the various Secretary of State offices.

· Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Necessary to Succeed:

· Familiarity with skip tracing search engines, including:

PeopleMap/Accurint/Secretary of State/ROAM/Google/Family Search

· Strong computer skills, including word and excel

· Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business and ethical decisions protecting the interests of the client and the law firm at all times.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of all matters related to client and firm business.

• Strong phone communication skills

Exceptional organizational and record keeping ability

• Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

· Government experience /government tax knowledge is a plus.
