Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented, dedicated, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team of experienced professionals in the Park Cities area. This position is full-time, Mon-Thurs, so if you hate long weekends this position may not be the one for you.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform dental charting and documentation of patient records using Practice works
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, packing cord, fabricating temporaries, and providing patient education
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques
- Assist with front office duties such as scheduling appointments, and processing payments if needed
- Provide support to the dental team in various areas of the practice
Must Have 5 years experience:
- Making full arch temporaries, and working with implant restorations
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays and perform advanced laboratory procedures
