Dallas 1 Construction & Development is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Thonotosassa, FL
Description
Ensure that the company’s accounting records, reports, history, statistics, etc are properly reflective of all transaction in a manner acceptable to the CPA, The Federal Government, the IRS and all GAAP rules and regulations. The Staff Accountant should at all times maintain the company’s finances and know the cash on hand, cash borrowed, and cash owed to others along with monitoring the collections of monies due to the company.
This position may be eligible for our remote work policy after one year of employment and supervisor approval.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the General Ledger accounts, the accuracy of all invoices posted by A/R and A/P personnel and balancing accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of postings.
- To prepare monthly Financial Statements for management that properly reflect all account balances and show the proper financial position of the company.
- Reconciliation of accounts
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate degree or greater in Accounting
- Knowledge of the accounting software used and intermediate experience using excel spreadsheets
- Good people skills
- Ability to analyze and recommend changes
- Prior bookkeeping experience
