Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our emergency team! Under the supervision of a physician, this position will be responsible for providing quality healthcare to our rural community, in the hospital's emergency department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care to patients under the supervision of a physician.
• May order laboratory, x-ray, therapy and specialty referrals
• Prescriptive privileges by the PA include those authorized by the TBME and the ED Medical Director.
• Ensure that medical records of patients seen by the provider are complete, and that they are available to the Medical Supervisor for review and signature, in accordance with district policies.
• Works with the physician and/or management in review, update, implement and maintenance of policies, procedures and protocols.
• Whenever physician requests, or whenever all other tasks are completed, will accompany physician both as a learning technique and to become better acquainted with patients.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Experience

• 2 year(s): Prior experience practicing emergency/trauma medicine in a hospital setting, preferred.
