Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our TEAM! As the Quality Control Supervisor, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as supervise the daily activities of the Pack-Stock-Auditors and the QC Technicians.
Primary Objective
Supervises the Quality Control function to ensure high quality of finished product.
Major Function and Scope
Supervises the daily activities of the Pack-Stock-Auditors and the QC Technicians.
Ensures corrective measures are taken to maintain quality standards.
Monitors production processes to ensure quality control measures are met.
Ensures operations are within specifications.
Controls and updates samples with coordination and direction from QA department at Headquarters.
Develops and implements Statistical Process Controls in Lab and Glaze areas.
Interviews applicants and trains employees as needed.
Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
Performs Other Duties As Required.Experience and Knowledge Required
Requires 2-year Operations Experience. 1-year Supervisory Experience Preferred.Ceramic tile industry experience preferred.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer literacy. Knowledge of testing procedures to determine product specifications. Knowledge of Colorimeter and glaze raw materials preferred. Knowledge of auditing and quality control measures.
Competencies
Core competencies include good communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to organize, analyze and interpret data, and strong math ability. Ability to problem solve and set priorities.
