WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Perform repair and maintenance, preventative maintenance and general clean-up in and around the site. Maintenance on various types of mobile and stationary equipment involved in the production and sale of sand and gravel or crushed stone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair equipment as necessary. Mobile equipment includes but not limited to: wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, skid loaders, man lifts, and generators. Stationary equipment includes but not limited to: crushers, screens, conveyors/belts, feeders, pumps, and washing equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and changing filters.
• Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of systems/equipment i.e. operating systems, hydraulics, electrical, and welding/fabrication.
• Perform general cleanup of equipment and yard, such as shoveling and sweeping.
• Comply with all safety procedures and promotion of company safety program.
• Operate a variety of equipment for troubleshooting, repair, and production purposes.
• Complete all administrative work required by employer. Examples: Daily inspection report, fuel usage, daily production report, parts orders, oil samples, etc.
• Compliance and support of company environmental policies and company spill response plans.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Technical knowledge and skills equivalent to a 2-year vocational technical degree.
• Welding, electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
• Must have current CDL & DOT Medical card/Valid Driver's License
• Operators are responsible for owning and maintaining hand tools used for maintenance
• Attend an annual 8 hour MSHA refresher course.
• New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training.
• New employees with mining experience more than two years prior to hire, must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions, to deal with problems, to find source of the problem and correct the situation in a short amount of time.
• Operate a front-end loader, forklift, dozer, skid steer and excavator.
• Weld and cut with a torch.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
