Now Hiring: Full-time Pet Health Center Technician

Dakin’s Pet Health Center is a non-emergency veterinary resource operated by Dakin Humane Society for pet cats and dogs. This program is an expansion of our existing veterinary services to better support the pets and people in our community and lessen the number of barriers to veterinary medical care. By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside passionate individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in our community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as our new Pet Health Center Technician.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing quality, advanced veterinary care for our patients while sharing information and collaborating with our community, and working together as a cohesive team within our department.

You must be able to handle multiple priorities and enjoy a busy environment. Position requirements include working as an assistant or technician in a hospital and knowledge of animal handling and care.

Sign-On Bonus!

Bilingual English/Spanish candidates who apply to Dakin will receive a $500 bonus if they are hired and after they successfully reach 90 days of employment. Bilingual candidates must be fluent in both written and verbal communication to qualify for this bonus.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician required.
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common veterinary procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals in a gentle and confident manner.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with veterinary software.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts. NO nights or weekends!
