Job Summary

We are looking for new team member with a background and interest in knowledge management and experience in SharePoint Online/Power Platform administration to join our IT team. We are looking for a candidate who can act as the evangelist for the SharePoint/Power Apps stack, help manage our SharePoint Online environment, working with the business to get the most from the resources, including Power Automate and Power Apps. The position's scope includes significant influence on the company's organization and storage of knowledge within our file system, SharePoint and OneDrive.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, good communicator, able to work in a small team setting, work with all levels of the organization, and work with minimal oversight. With the small size of the team and the breadth of our responsibilities, they must be willing and able to pick up new skills and dig into applications and technologies to help support our users. The position includes opportunities for significant impact with the business, and growth into other areas of systems administration.

Presence and communication are important, as all members of our team have direct contact with business users, in support of applications, and in discovery and delivery.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary, and may include other duties not listed here:

  • Understand how employees use information within and across departments and gather user insights from across the organization to improve access to information and utilization of common sources.
  • Work with BAs, business SMEs and users to collect use-cases from across the company and assist in structuring information.
  • Work with the steering committee and establish common guidelines for the storage and access of core and common information.
  • Work with the business and IT BAs to gather requirements for SharePoint Online and Power App/Power Automate solutions, and implement sustainable business solutions using the available toolset.
  • Enhance the user's experience with SharePoint by improving organization and availability of information.
  • Continuously seek opportunities within SharePoint Online libraries and lists to improve efficiency and reduce the workload on contributors.
  • Improve the searchability, formatting, and organization of files and other types of information with collaboration across the company in mind.
  • With Daisy's IT department and stakeholders, manage the company's files in SharePoint Online and shared drive systems.
  • Analyze how and who accesses and exchanges information across the company to improve access and collaboration.
  • Keep user permissions current.
  • In collaboration with Learning & Development, provide instruction and training on the use of platforms (i.e. SharePoint).
  • Provide end-user support, and work with external support when escalation is required.
  • SharePoint Online and Power App environment administration, configuration and information management, in cooperation with other members of IT.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of M365 capabilities and changes and how changes may impact the business.
  • In cooperation with other members of IT, design, implement, maintain, and monitor security structures aligning with corporate security guidelines, sustainability goals, and business needs.
  • Contribute as a team member to other aspects of the Applications team areas of responsibility, which span application administration and support, application development life cycle, and application environment administration.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with knowledge management across functions in an organization.
  • Experience with administering SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
  • Experience implementing and configuring SharePoint Online sites, lists and apps, including Modern sites, and using the available toolkit, such as view/column formatting, M365 Graph API, PowerShell, SharePoint object model.
  • Experience working directly with users at various levels for design/requirements discovery.
  • Experience administering, developing, and implementing Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Experience with communications and troubleshooting skills.
Education

Bachelor's degree in information science, library science, business, communications, computer science, or similar.

Experience

A minimum of 4 years of knowledge management related experience is preferred.

A minimum of 4 years experience with SharePoint Online, Power Automate (Flow) and Power Apps.

Skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to initiate and continue pointed discussions over time to refine understanding and find an optimal solution.
  • Knowledgeable of which SharePoint/PowerApps/Power Automate functionality can be configured out-of-the-box and which functionality requires extra customized development, while keeping in mind the integrity and stability of the M365 environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Work independently.
  • Be attentive to details.
  • Have a confident, positive, and friendly attitude.
  • Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Other
  • This is a full-time position located at the Dallas office and may require occasional travel to Daisy's manufacturing sites.
  • This position will abide by the hybrid/work-from-home policies for the Corporate IT team.
  • This position is not available for remote work.
