Responsible for the continuous improvement of Daikin’s HVAC product quality and procedure adherence to ensure quality consistency. Utilize engineering knowledge to review quality standards, tolerances, and engineering changes. Evaluate engineering changes for existing products, outsourced parts, processes and subassemblies. Analyze engineering specifications and manufacturing processes for new introduced products, develop test plans and quality testing equipment. Investigate and analyze complex quality engineering problems, recommend solutions, and take the necessary corrective engineering action. Work towards the Company's goals and objectives to ensure ISO compliance and ensure products are made of the highest quality standards. Provide quality engineering improvement efforts and processes to drive a culture of high-quality expectations and zero defects. Accelerate the improvement of Daikin’s Quality Management Systems, which includes revising, writing procedures, launching, and participating in preventative activities like pFMEA, near-miss analysis, etc. Maintain and improve testing equipment and develop engineering strategies for the on-going validation of line test equipment. Ensure all required documentation is maintained and timely updated. Assist in teaching responsible teams on root cause analysis using fishbones, 5-why's, Zero Defects practices, and process improvement activities. Provide support to production and ensure system adherence. Responsible for reviewing and approving the engineering changes and documentation changes and will identify and implement continuous improvement processes.

Minimum Education Requirement : Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Minimum Experience Requirement : Five (5) years’ experience as Quality Engineer or related engineering position with a high-volume HVAC manufacturer responsible for product quality utilizing PFMEA, Near-Miss Analysis, Root Cause Analysis using Fishbones, 5-Why’s, Zero Defects practices and overseeing process improvement activities; Five (5) years of experience with Minitab, Solid Works, Autocad, R-Programming, and in ISO 9001 & 14001 environments.
