• Braze copper-to-copper, copper-to-brass, aluminum or other types of materials with highest quality and on time delivery while ensuring to follow all safety policies / requirements.
• Ensure proper use of brazing equipment and safe handling of products and materials.
• Wear required personal protective gear.
• Immediately report any equipment, product or safety concerns immediately to the area lead/supervisor
• Ensure quality of brazing by eliminating variation and drive consistency
• Identify areas of opportunities and participate in implementing continuous improvement processes.
• Follow all safety procedures, work processes, and company policies.
• Apply good work ethics and integrity on the job
• Maintain safe and clean work area and keeps surrounding area clean
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
• Takes direction from Supervisor
• Works within well-defined instructions
• Knowledge of Daikin’s Braze methods, theory, practices and applications including safety protocols; successful completion of in-house Daikin DOJO training and certification
• Proven braze skills using multiple metals – copper, brass, aluminum etc.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and braze torches, etc
• Ability to move efficiently and safely to meet proper production numbers.
• Good eye/hand coordination
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to read and interpret work instructions, processes and policies
• Ability to work with limited supervision while achieving desired results
• Ability to establish positive work relationships
• Ability to stand long periods of time
• Ability to work overtime as needed and flexible work schedule to assist during peak manufacturing

High School diploma or GED Equivalent

Braze training and certification through in-house DOJO Trainers – successful completion required

Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Manufacturing environment with forklift traffic. May have higher noise volume in areas – hearing protection required. Requires ability to stand for long periods up to 8 to 10 hrs. Repetitive movement, good eye/hand coordination, operation of hand tools, power tools and braze torch. May need to lift up to 40lbs
