May include:

• Ensure compliance with EH&S programs and policies at assigned locations
• Consistently rotate through various work sites within close proximity to primary location
• Travel to other work locations throughout the US on an as needed basis
• Coach employees and managers on EH&S program and policy interpretation
• Investigate incidents and injuries, and assist with implementation of corrective actions
• Prepare reports and presentations
• Support and conduct safety committee meetings with hourly team members
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping logs at the direction of the EHS Manager
• Maintains internal incident management system and ensures all documentation is collected following an incident
• Follow up on proactive safety concern reports
• Assist with administering PIT post-incident protocol
• Complete routine Gemba Walks and conduct various audits (Fire Extinguisher, Eye wash stations, AEDs, etc)
• Monitor First Aid supplies and PPE stock across multiple locations
• Monitor daily forklift checklist completion
• Write weekly safety articles for employee newsletter
• Administer training to employees as directed
• Maintain confidential information
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of distribution and sales work environments
• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data entry applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy and effective problem solving skills
• Ability to establish positive work relationships and ability to engage with employees to comply with safety policies/procedures
• Ability to apply strong work ethics and integrity on the job
• Ability to confidentially handle sensitive/confidential information; exercise good judgement

Experience:

• 1 – 3 yrs of experience
• Experience or working knowledge of EH&S fundamentals is a plus, especially in a high volume distribution environment
• 3 – 5 yrs of demonstrated experience and understanding of EH&S concepts, practices and procedure as well as regulatory compliance requirements within a distribution environment
• 5 years of demonstrated experience and strong understanding of EH&S concepts, practices and procedure as well as regulatory compliance requirements within a distribution environment

Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of in-house OSHA 10-hour General Industry training
• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
