As a Facilities Technician for Fearless Restaurants, you are responsible for the general maintenance of our restaurants and equipment, updating spaces with new paint, repairing broken hardware, heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, water purification, air filtering, and electrical work as needed.

This candidate will have a desire to continue to learn and grow within our organization. The ideal facilities technician is positive, responsible, hands-on, and a team player who has strong communication skills and can handle multiple tasks in a friendly manner with grace and composure.

Skills/Requirements

· Must be able to travel to both locations across Long Beach Island, NJ.

· Comfortable with heights, ladders, and scaffolding

· Understand how to properly use appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.

· Must perform duties in compliance with safety regulations and any other assigned duties related to the above.

Responsibilities:

1. Routine Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen appliances.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with the management team to update and optimize preventative maintenance plans.

2. Emergency Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, electrical problems, or equipment malfunctions, including urgent plumbing, flooring, and appliance repairs.

3. General Repairs:

  • Conduct repairs on furniture, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a clean and functional environment.
  • Address and repair plumbing, HVAC, and other equipment, including flooring, painting touch-ups, and appliance maintenance as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with vendors for specialized repairs when required.

4. Painting and Pressure Washing:

  • Utilize painting skills for both touch-ups and larger projects to uphold the visual standards of the restaurant.
  • Perform regular pressure washing of exterior surfaces, including walkways, entryways, and outdoor seating areas, to maintain cleanliness and enhance the overall appearance.

5. Flooring Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain various flooring types, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Address issues such as damaged tiles, floor leveling, and general floor maintenance.

6. Plumbing Repairs:

  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and fixture malfunctions.
  • Install, replace, and maintain plumbing components to ensure reliable water supply and drainage.

7. Appliance Repairs:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen appliances, ensuring they operate efficiently.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to address any appliance-related issues promptly.

8. Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety among the staff.

9. Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, including paints, flooring materials, plumbing equipment, and appliance parts.
  • Coordinate with the management team to order necessary supplies in a timely manner.

Salary/Benefits

  • 15 days annual paid time off (Yr 1-5); 20 days annual paid time off (Yr 5)
  • 5 days annual sick time

Physical Demands
