D6 is seeking a skilled Extrusion Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality products. Duties include monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting machinery issues, and ensuring a safe work environment. The successful candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Previous experience in extrusion operation is preferred but not required. To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused, and have outstanding problem-solving skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness around all extrusion machinery keeping free of powder, pellets and debris.
• Ensure all raw materials are accurate and organized.
• Load raw materials into extrusion machinery.
• Palletize and store completed goods in organized fashion.
• Ensure all production documentation is being filled accurately.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• When necessary, assist material handlers with operational duties related to extrusion production.
• Must be willing and able to work in production warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate on all equipment for an extrusion line and when needed troubleshoot any issues.
• The job will be constantly moving around inside of a hot environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in extrusion operations preferred, not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, basic math proficiency
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• The job will be constantly moving around inside of a hot environment.
• Must be willing to get trained for forklift operations as well.
• Must be willing to work night shift. 6pm-6am
• Strong people skills with good moral character.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
