Avery Partners is Hiring a Generator Technician Near Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description

Job Description

Our Client is seeking several Generator Technicians to perform field service work in PA, HI, UT, IA, MN, and WA areas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ generator experience in the inspection, repair, preventive and corrective maintenance, and modification on Internal Combustion (IC) engines, diesel generators, and other IC gaseous engines. Experience with Cummins, Generac, Caterpillar, etc. power generators is preferred.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 3 years’ industrial generator experience working on IC engines or diesel generators and electrical experience.
  • Diesel Mechanic certifications preferred.
  • The ability to maintain an FDOT logbook.
  • Ability to work overtime and out of the market when required.
  • In the event of a power outage or other emergency, extensive travel, and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions may be required.
  • Good organizational, computer and communication skills, in order to provide post-job reports and site updates remotely from the job site.
  • Valid driver’s license to comply with company motor vehicle policy.
  • Training will be provided.
  • Ability to effectively and consistently maintain a safe work site with quality and efficiency.
