D2 Government Solutions is Hiring a Contract Specialist Near Bern, NC

D2 Government Solutions (D2GS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Contract Specialist at our New Bern, NC location.

As a Contracts Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing contractual agreements between our company and external parties. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to mitigate risks and optimize contractual terms.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Management
  • Ensure contracts accurately reflect negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to identify potential risks and liabilities.

2. Contract Negotiation:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal counsel and procurement, to resolve any discrepancies and ensure favorable terms for the company.

3. Contract Management:

  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and related documentation.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and renewal deadlines.
  • Implement processes to streamline contract management and improve efficiency.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contractual agreements.
  • Advise stakeholders on contractual rights and obligations to minimize legal exposure.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including legal, finance, procurement, and operations, to facilitate contract execution and management.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.

6. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to contract management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) working in contract management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
