Tulimieri Associates, Inc dba D Tech Service has been providing electrical motor control, customer-specific solutions since 1979. We service global customers, in conjunction with local channel partners, from our Cromwell, CT facility. Our Field Service Department covers all of New England as well as metro NY and northern NJ.

We primarily function as the provider of integrated solutions utilizing variable frequency drives, motor-control products and PLCs as required by our customers.

D Tech Service capabilities include CAD supported designs and highly qualified Field Service Technicians. We are a UL508A-certified fabrication facility, and ISO9001:2015 Certified. Our experience and expertise cross numerous industry segments such as food, beverage, water/wastewater, paper, plastic, and oil/gas.

Experience & Requirements of Field Service Technician Job

Experience:

• REQUIRED 3 years of experience with variable frequency drives (VFD’s).
• Building Engineer, Electrical or Controls contractor with experience in building automation controls installation and troubleshooting.
• Two year degree or equivalent Electrical Technology program or Facilities Engineering/HVAC program.

• Electrical background in the area of motor control, variable frequency drives, and other industrial electrical applications.
• Ability to read schematics and work in a cooperative team atmosphere.

Specific Details of this position include, but are not limited to, the following items:

Customer Service

• Must have excellent customer contact skills for problem resolution.
• Available for on-call support after hours as required.

Support of existing VFDs

• Troubleshoot and repair problems in the field to keep VFD on line.
• Work with Service Manager to support servicing of customer’s VFDs.

Retro-Fit of existing VFDs

• Good Mechanical and electrical skills required.
• Requires solid knowledge of power and control wiring and ability to troubleshoot.

New VFD Start Up

• Work with Service Manager to schedule new VFD Start Up at customer location.
• Certify proper conditions for the Start Up according to manufacturer & D Tech standards.

Technical Support

• Must be available to customers for questions and to help with problems.

Technical Training

• Learn all drive information as provided by manufacturers', videos or literature.
• Prepare, as necessary, owner operator presentations to train customers on the use of VFDs.

Documentation

• Prepare reports and other documentation in a timely manner for invoicing.
