Duties and Responsibilities:
The Rug Cleaning Specialist will be responsible for picking up soiled rugs at Customer homes, bringing the rugs back to the facility, washing the rugs in the Rug Room, using appropriate methods and cleaning solvents/detergents/chemicals and proper equipment as outlined in the manufacturer’s directions according to fiber/fabric/construction and backing.
The Rug Cleaning Specialist will be responsible for making decisions and creating price quotes for customers’ by determining soil level, previous condition of rugs including but not limited to; spots, soil, pet urine, odors, rust, paint, food, and beverage stains.
The Rug Cleaning specialist will be responsible for making sure Customers Rugs are cleaned for the most optimum outcome for our Clients. Responsibilities also include lifting rugs onto drying racks, making sure rugs are completely DRIED, prior to moving onto the inspection process. The Rugs must pass a final inspection prior to DRY WRAPPING Rugs for Delivery back to the Customers home.
The Rug Cleaning Specialist will be responsible for the entire cleaning, drying, inspecting, and final wrapping process of Customers’ Rugs prior to returning the rugs to the Customer.
The Rug Cleaning Specialist will provide excellent Customer Service to our Clients, has the ability to upsell, recommend “add-ons”, and provide RUG Cleaning TIPS for Customers, providing the opportunity for tips and commission. The Rug Cleaning Specialist must have the ability to converse with Customers and Office Staff to make recommendations, and obtain information from Customers regarding the condition, age, and Customers concerns to be addressed during cleaning process.
Must be able to keep a clean work area, clean/sanitize all rug cleaning equipment, keep solvents/detergents/chemicals inventory stocked and organized. Keep accurate Records and Customers’ Rug Labels legible, complete with Customer Name, Date, Address, and Inspection Date and Inspectors Signature.
Must have the ability to communicate issues, problems with Office Staff (Dispatcher/Receptionist/Owner), and develop creative solutions. Must communicate to Office Staff if unable to meet deadlines or weekly schedule immediately so arrangements can be made to support our Clients’ needs.
Must be able to keep Delivery Van clean and communicate with Equipment Mechanic regarding vehicle problems/issues/breakdowns. Must be able to communicate to Equipment Mechanic regarding equipment breakdowns, concerns, parts, issues immediately.
