The D.C. Tenants’ Rights Center seeks a part-time Intake Coordinator to join our low bono law practice. DCTRC is not a typical law firm : we are constantly trying to find ways to reduce our fees while providing efficient, useful services to D.
C. tenants. We’re the only private firm in D.C. that works exclusively with tenants. We represent tenants in court, but we also advise tenants on how to avoid court.
Typical issues include housing code violations, failure to return security deposits, lease terminations, evictions, and illegal rent increases.
We also help tenants facing housing discrimination, and we assist tenant associations asserting their building-purchase rights.
Salary and Benefits : $20 per hour for roughly 20 hours per week to start. We also offer health insurance and
generous paid time off.
