D&B Construction Group is Hiring a Traveling Superintendent Near Philadelphia, PA

D&B Construction Group Is looking for an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our growing team! The ideal candidate would have vast onsite multi-family construction experience. This person would be responsible for construction jobs throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and beyond. While it would be ideal for the candidate to be based out of Southeast Pennsylvania, it is not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and work performed.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage and update the project timeline to ensure contractual deadlines are met.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate with the project team regarding project drawings, schedule, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and local municipality officials.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities on the jobsite.
  • Preside over all onsite construction meetings.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintain client satisfaction and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
  • Attend company and industry events (meetings, trainings, workshops etc.) as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work.
  • Ability to manage a team of trade partners.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a critical thinker, proactive problem solver and creative solution finder.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage job onsite from start to finish.

Requirements:

  • 15 years’ construction experience as a superintendent or similar role.
  • 10 years’ experience in multifamily construction.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 100%.
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • OSHA30
