**About the position**

Experienced enterprise class Server/Network support engineer to provide second level support to compute and network fabric product offerings across all deployment locations. Expected skillset will be primarily server virtualization centric with strong peripheral knowledge of network connectivity principles and services. Demonstrated knowledge of hypervisor technologies, concepts, and supporting hardware infrastructure and connectivity.

**Responsibilities/Duties:**

-Provide technical expertise to resolve service interruptions and incidents.

-Manage, coordinate, and communicate incident or problem resolutions to completion.

-Engage internal and external services or vendors to assure proper Return To Service or

RMA for any production systems or services

-Track, maintain, and record resolutions in ticketing system of record

-Serve as initial technical escalation for Service Delivery servers, networks and connectivity

-Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure automation issues

-Provide support for infrastructure implementation

-Troubleshoot internal and external customer issues as they arise

-Participate in technical support on call schedule or as required.

**Skills/Experience:**

5-8 years experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft OS or Linux CentOS/RedHat OSs

5-8 years experience and technical knowledge of virtualization hypervisors, VMware, KVM, Virtual Box, or other Enterprise Cloud platforms

2 years experience supporting medium to large environments or integrator experience

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong communications skills both verbal and written

Technical Documentation experience

Excellent problem solving abilities

Networking TCP/IP protocol suite, ARP, DNS, DHCP, CIDR, VLAN, VXLAN, Routing Protocols, VPC, LACP

Juniper switching and routing desired

Experience supporting Cisco UCS, HP Servers, Dell Servers or similar enterprise class hardware.

Experience with HCI virtualization platforms and products highly desired.

**Strong Working knowledge of:**

Enterprise server hardware and storage solutions (Storage Pools, NFS, CIFS, disk types and RAID)

**Other skills and requirements:**

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance

Willingness and capability of quickly learning new technologies required for accomplishing project goals.

Associate level server or network certifications, or equivalent
