Here's a closer look at this key role:

As a Full-Stack Developer, you will help us take on significant engineering challenges, such as: building complex and reusable components, optimizing for scale and reliability, inventing new algorithms and finding opportunities for increasing the maintainability or serviceability of software systems. At the same time, you will be applying engineering best practices, and helping to create a culture of software quality, security, and operational excellence throughout the organization. You will work with Product Managers, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to execute on the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the rest of the sprint team and contribute to all areas of the development lifecycle, including development, testing, and releasing.
  • Debug, develop and maintain our application’s codebases, and implement best practices for code reliability and quality control.
  • Implement required functionality using the programming languages appropriate for the domain.
  • Develop applications with agreed-upon technology / software to deliver the required functionality.
  • Study existing codebase to understand established standards and patterns.
  • Implement functionality conforming to industry-standard security practices.
  • Improve code quality through participation in peer code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions, within and across teams.
  • Quickly troubleshoot to identify causes of software and service issues.
  • Communicate effectively and competently with other team members on functionality and integration points of application software.
  • Create and maintain documents for applications and systems which are developed or supported.
  • Operate diligently within software development standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Define test scenarios, unit and integration tests to prove functionality of software per requirements.
  • Effectively negotiate non-functional quality into deliverables.
  • Utilize JIRA to administer assignment progress, status, effort, and estimates.
  • Diligence in administration of task status, and timekeeping.
  • Build expertise in product (ControlOne) system architecture.
  • Build and Test modern front-end applications with a framework like React / Angular
  • Build and Test applications and APIs using Python and a framework like Django

Requirements:

  • Strong developer with object-oriented design and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in React, Python (Django) with at least two years of development experience.
  • Experience working with Postgres is desirable.
  • Experience delivering efficient, reliable, and maintainable software.
  • Responds well to coaching and constructive criticism.
