Salary: $22 - $24 per hour

About the Role:

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers in our practice are credentialed and enrolled with insurance payers, as well as maintaining and updating provider credentialing information.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes credentialing applications for new providers and ensure accurate and timely submission to insurance payers
  • Monitors and tracks the status of credentialing applications to ensure timely approval
  • Maintains provider credentialing files and databases to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Communicates with insurance payers and provider representatives to resolve any credentialing issues or discrepancies
  • Coordinates with internal department to gather necessary information for credentialing applications
  • Assists with re-credentialing and re-validation processes for existing providers
  • Collaborates with billing department to ensure accurate reimbursement for services rendered
  • Stays current on healthcare industry trends and changes in credentialing requirement

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare credentialing
  • Working knowledge of credentialing processes and requirements for insurance payers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
