Description

Founded in 1996, Cypressbrook Company is a commercial real estate brokerage firm, multifamily owner, developer, and management company based in Houston, Texas. Our team specializes in bringing value-added opportunities to our clients and our investors,through patiently acquired market knowledge, skillful management, and intensive marketing. We are seeking a Regional Director to assist with our multifamily portfolio. 

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • They must possess the ability and willingness to develop, train, and mentor lower-level managers, conduct regular team meetings, 1-on-1 meetings such as coaching, conflict resolution, goal setting, quarterly check in's and annual reviews, etc
  • Ensure all policies are implemented using the company handbook and operations manual; companywide responsibilities for Cypressbrook University, specific training areas, tech-stack products, management, etc
  • Help develop internal controls for properties under management
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgeting for each property.
  • Direct monthly and quarterly financial reports to in-house team and outside investors
  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly bonuses & commissions.
  • Interface with Asset Manager and Ownership to ensure alignment of interests.
  • Manage Contractor/Service Provider relationships.
  • Oversee new property lease ups.
  • Oversee Work Order systems at project level.
  • Ensure marketing plan for each property is implemented.
  • Provide feedback that helps to continually improve company processes, policies, tech stack, and any other products to build a solid basis for growth and improvement.
  • Review, analyze and interpret market data to identify emerging trends that may impact the performance of the portfolio and works with the community managers and others to develop and implement market plans that drive occupancy and revenue growth.
  • Keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes, researching and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications, or utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information.

Requirements

  • 10 years of multifamily property management experience;
  • Possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Possess working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel & Word;
  • Possess working knowledge of RealPage, Onesite, Yardi, and other multifamily software;
  • Experience managing Class A initial lease-up as well as Class B and C renovation projects ideal;
  • Experience with HUD loans a positive;
  • Experience in affordable housing a positive;
  • Intimate knowledge of social networking and other marketing skills for Class A, B & C assets; and,
  • Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to properties.
