QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
2. Valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirements.
3. Licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture for Pesticide Applicator.
4. Must have experience in sports turf management and cultural practices.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively with athletic coaches, school administrators, and maintenance personnel.
6. Must be able to submit paper work according to CFISD policy.
7. Must be self-motivated and show initiative on a daily basis.

260 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$18.93/HS8
Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2021-2022
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintain accurate records of all chemicals used throughout the district.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for IPM program.
3. Assure compliance with yearly inspection by the Structural Pest Control Board.
4. Act as an advisor to Pest Control Foreman on any issues dealing with chemical treatments in the district.
5. Duties involved with all the above include the following:
* Mosquito fogging/bee & wasp removal
* Responding to any animal or bird problems at campuses
* Ant treatments on athletic fields and playgrounds
* Pre and Post emergent application to athletic fields
* Weed control along fence lines, tracks, parking lots, etc.
* Fertilization & overseed application rates
* Advisor for sports turf management
* Advisor on diseased or stressed plants, trees and grass
6. All other assigned duties as requested by Supervisor/Foreman.
7. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Must be able to work outside in all seasons. Must be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks. Must be available for after hour demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility. Must maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to work alone. Ability to keep information confidential.
