QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
2. Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher;
3. Valid Texas administrator’s certification;
4. Demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills; and
5. Familiarity with needs of K-5 students.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Probationary/Term Contract: 220 days

SALARY:

$68,429(IA-4)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2020-2021

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists with the development and implementation of programs to support students’ academic improvement (e.g., Reading Academies, summer school, acceleration programs, interventions, and gifted and talented).
2. Collaborate to analyze student STAAR data and make recommendations for improvement so students achieve grade-level expectations or higher.
3. Review elementary school district progress monitoring and benchmark scores to collaborate with coordinators for instructional improvement.
4. Organize and facilitate the Student Success Initiative (SSI) program for fifth-grade students in CFISD including the creation of parent communications and lawfully required documentation for students’ permanent records.
5. Assist in organizing and managing the curriculum department’s payroll responsibilities for elementary school programs such as summer school, curriculum writing, etc.
6. Assist with implementation and management of district elementary school initiatives and special programs.
7. Assist in the planning, organization, collaboration, and supervision of elementary summer school including registration materials, teacher applications, and all materials and training.
8. Assist in planning staff development (including secure locations) such as district teacher leadership training, elementary curriculum council, and coordinator meetings.
9. Support the management of the response to intervention (RtI) process for elementary campuses including the process documents, student/campus documentation, and professional development needed for campuses.
10. Assist with the development and annual review of district elementary curriculum documents and guidance publications.
11. Develop and annually review district elementary project and process documents and guidelines.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.
13. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
