CyFair Animal Hospital is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician Near Cypress, TX
- Greet and educate pet owners and answer basic questions
- Prepare, dispense and fill over-the-counter medications and prescriptions
- Maintain online pharmacy and refill requests.
- Input customer and prescription information into the computer system
- Calling clients when meds ready and/or answering questions regarding meds
- Working with supply vendors, buying, returning and getting refunds for pharmacy orders.
- Maintain the electronic inventory system
- Accept and process deliveries
- Unpack all boxes and puts away supplies and keeping inventory organized
- Take and track inventory, restocking when needed
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- At least one year of recent veterinary pharmacy experience.
- Inventory management and/or Buying experience preferred.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter veterinary medicines and common prescriptions.
- Good basic math skills i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide and fractions.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of spelling and meaning of commonly used veterinary medical terminology and procedures (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer literate.
