Job Description:
Job Title: Vascular Ultrasound Tech
Location: Salem, MA (Zip Code: 01970)
Employment Type: Travel Assignment (13 Weeks)
Schedule:
- 32 hours per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Shared on-call until 8:00 PM
Unit Information:
- Unit Name: Vascular Ultrasound Tech
- Brief Unit Description: Two-room vascular lab outfitted with GE E10 ultrasound units, Parks PVR units, and treadmills.
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Patient Population: Diverse
- Bed Count: 1
- EMR (Charting System): EPIC and Visage PACS
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular ultrasound procedures using GE E10 ultrasound units and Parks PVR units.
- Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound procedures and explain the process.
- Operate treadmills for certain vascular tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound data to provide preliminary reports.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in vascular ultrasound.
- Strong proficiency in performing vascular ultrasound procedures.
Certifications Required:
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist)
Additional Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working in a 1:1 clinician to patient ratio.
- No floating required.
- Must work day shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with shared on-call duties until 8:00 PM.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EPIC and Visage PACS charting systems.
