Job Title: SICU/CVICU Nurse (Travel)
Location: Stockton, California (Zip Code: 95204)

Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• First to float

Summary:

Client in California is seeking an experienced SICU/CVICU Nurse for a travel contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with open heart surgeries and be proficient in recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR. This role demands strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the SICU/CVICU.
• Recover fresh heart patients directly from the OR, ensuring comprehensive post-operative care.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, making critical decisions to address changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to support patient care.
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 full years of experience in SICU/CVICU.
• Recent Experience: Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months.
• Licensure:

Active California RN license.

• Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Skills:

Proficiency in managing complex cardiovascular and surgical patients.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information:

Pay: $2,500.00 - $2,900.00 per week
