Job Description:

Client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Kapaau, USA. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and high-quality healthcare services to patients in various healthcare settings. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, adhering to established nursing protocols and standards of practice.
  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and medical status, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Assist with patient assessments, including physical exams, health history interviews, and documentation of findings in the electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and treatment goals.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection, with attention to infection control protocols and patient comfort.
  • Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques to facilitate optimal recovery and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing interventions, assessments, and patient responses in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by monitoring for hazards, implementing safety precautions, and responding promptly to emergencies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including continuing education courses, training sessions, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an LPN in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
