Pay Range: $52,000 - $85,000
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree (ADN)
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, or Masters of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
CVICU experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Oklahoma or compact state RN license
DESCRIPTION:
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN will maintain a fast pace to meet the needs of those in the most acute phases of cardiac disease. Common problems seen in our unit include post open heart surgery, severe decompensated heart failure/cardiogenic shock, STEMI, aortic dissection, and acute severe valvular dysfunction. Our unit also provides immediate specialized care to other severe and critically ill patients, including respiratory and cardiac failure, sepsis, renal failure, induced hypothermia, and continuous renal replacement therapy. Our Nurses demonstrate highly advanced skills in patient assessment/ intervention, teamwork, and crisis management. We orient new nurses to our unit by providing an 8-12 week orientation with a dedicated preceptor team complemented by a program of critical care courses and a nurse residency program for new graduates. Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment & analyzing assessment data
Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care
Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions
Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
