CONUS, OCONUS, Virtual | Contract Assignments (1099)
Position Title: Cyber Defense Instructor
Location: CONUS, OCONUS and Virtual (typically 5 days and some are up to 30 days)
Hours: Normal business hours, 5 to 30-day assignments
Position Summary
Cybervance is a rapidly growing information security and information technology company in the Washington, D.C. metro area. We are looking for Cyber Defense Instructors to support instructional services contracts with U.S. Government agencies (DHS, DHHS, DOS, DOC and DOD). Cybervance provides beginner to advanced level training to develop cybersecurity skills and/or prepare personnel for careers in cybersecurity (reskilling individuals who are not in cyber roles and upskilling those moving into new cyber roles).
Job Requirements
• 10 years of experience as a cybersecurity instructor
• Experience training at federal agencies on topics including vulnerability assessment, infrastructure support, incident response, forensic analysis and systems security
• Well versed in the NIST NICE Framework
• Well versed in U.S. Government codes and regulations related to cybersecurity
• Excellent training and mentoring skills
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with Public Trust eligibility
Certifications/Licenses
• 4-year degree (information security is preferred, but not required), or equivalent experience.
Additional Experience Preferred
• Experience with the Federal Cyber Defense Skilling Academy
• Experience working with the Cyber Defense Education and Training program.
