Cybernet Systems Corporation is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer Near Ann Arbor, MI

Job Description / Responsibilities

Cybernet is seeking an entry to mid-level Mechanical Engineer with a background in robotics and automation. We are looking for a motivated candidate that will research, plan, and design mechanical & electromechanical products and systems. This candidate will also direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. Troubleshoots mechanical designs, assemblies, and component problems, and implements corrective measures.

Duties:

- Assessing project requirements

- Developing designs for mechanical systems, including robotics and automation systems

- Researching technical solutions

- Briefing customers and team members on designs

- Providing Technical Advice

- Writing reports and documentation

Required Skills/ Experience:

- Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS - Working with suppliers, such as machine shops - Ability to support physical prototyping tasks - Familiarity with machine shop/metalworking tools - Familiarity with robotics and automation system design

- 2 to 10 years of related experience in the field

Additional Desired skills:

- Experience with testing, evaluating, modifying, and re-testing prototypes

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques to enable proper selection of methods to produce products

Required Education:

Related Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Training

Additional Requirements

This job requires you to be either a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident, due to State Department Regulations regarding ITAR related programs.
