SuprTEK is currently looking for a System Engineer who has experience supporting Splunk data to join our team with the option of flexible work schedules all while developing next generation products for the NSA.
Responsibilities

• Establish a process to formally and proactively control and manage changes to requirements, consider impacts prior to commitment to change, gain stakeholder buy-in, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability to source requirements, and track and settle open actions
• Coordinate with the customer on reporting vision, create Splunk reports, and deploy/manage them on dashboards
• Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations & maintenance
• Develop scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs
• Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
• Scripting Experience (Python, etc) - Candidate will be expected to pull data from tools via RestAPI using python scripts.

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and a current polygraph is required
• Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; (4) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Very strong scripting skills (python and bash)
• Experience with ansible and writing playbooks
• AWS expertise
• Well versed with Kubernetes
• Experience in a Linux environment
• Configuration: Ansible/Puppet/Salt (required)
• Containerization: Docker or Kubernetes (highly desired)
• Monitoring: Nagios/Splunk (configuration of monitoring)
• Familiarity and experience with some of the tech stacks used by AEA Development teams:
• Load Balancing: HAproxy/httpd etc.
• Web Servers: Tomcat/Nginx/Java etc.
• Database: MongoDB/Postgres/MySQL etc.
• AWS certification (Cloud Architect or SysOps Administrator
