Job Title : Safety Coordinator

Location : Turlock, CA

Salary : $65,000 - $95,000

Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Safety Coordinator that possesses strong experience with PPE, OSHA, and safety

Responsibilities :

Through instruction, training, auditing, and the execution of compliance projects and programs, support compliance with safety and health regulations.

Maintain and oversee all safety documentation, training materials, and record-keeping.

Conduct daily and continuous safety and compliance inspections in shops, yards, offices, and project sites. Report findings and recommendations for improved safety performance and compliance to Project Management, Foreman, and other field staff.

Create and uphold a culture of safety on the job site, and cultivate good working relationships with staff members at all levels.

Organize weekly toolbox meetings and share pertinent safety information on everyday duties and circumstances.

Contribute to the creation and dissemination of safety literature and publications.

Perform audits of work areas and operations for period compliance, recording findings and collaborating with worksite supervisory staff to establish suitable deadlines for addressing inadequacies.

Oversee the field staff's complete safety training requirements.

Provide field staff with training on safety topics such as first aid, CPR, fall protection, confined space entry, accident prevention and investigation, workplace inspections, and other issues pertaining to the execution of safety protocols on construction sites.

After any incident involving firm employees, equipment, general contractors, or other subcontractors, conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses.

Manage incidents and injuries, which entails speaking with HR directly and taking part in the processing of Workers' Compensation claims.

Promptly addresses any safety concerns raised by employees.

If an injury at work occurs, transport staff members to and from off-site clinics and first aid stations. The primary point of contact for mitigating any events involving first aid will be the Safety Coordinator.

As appropriate, keep safety data sheets up to date on site.as mandated by OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications :

Associate's / Bachelor's Degree in Safety, EHS, or related field

5 years of Safety Experience

OSHA 30 and ASP / CSP preferred

Understanding of all company, state, municipal, and federal regulations.

Working knowledge of OSHA and other state and federal agency standards for safety.
