We are a rapidly growing general contractor & civil subcontractor that has been around for over 8 years running over $100mil in work already! We are continuing to expand as we build out our corporate office and are opening new offices in surrounding states. We have multimillion $ contracts already awarded and are looking to bring on a full time accounts payable specialist in our corporate office in Danvers, to help oversee all the payroll processing for the company.

Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions and ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement of payments. This individual will work closely with department managers and vendors to ensure payments are made in a timely manner. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of all accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and other accounts payable documents
• Review coding accuracy and approve all payments
• Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
• Prepare payments for processing
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all accounts payable transactions
• Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and review 1099s for vendors
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
• 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Finance
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
