Position Overview :

We are currently looking for a Laser Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site service for our clients laser equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting machine issues, providing regular maintenance, and ensuring that clients machines are functioning properly.

This position is travel Monday through Friday, and home on weekends. While travel is mostly regionalized, Field Service Technicians typically stay in a hotel nearby the customers facility Monday through Friday.

Travel is primarily throughout the US, but can be international in some cases as well.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide on-site service, maintenance, and troubleshooting for laser machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Regularly inspect and adjust positioning of ball screws, bearings, and gearing.
• Use measuring instruments such as indicators, micrometers, gage blocks, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ball bars, and optical comparators.
• Regularly clean and lubricate machines.
• Provide customer service to clients.

Qualifications :

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge required.
• Previous experience with laser machines is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Good customer service skills.
