Low Voltage Technician Responsibilities:
Install and maintain low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure, and associated equipment.
Identify and resolve issues in cabling and network systems to ensure uninterrupted performance.
Test and certify installed networks, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and system configurations for future reference.
Schedule and conduct routine maintenance and necessary upgrades to network systems and equipment.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients, addressing concerns and offering comprehensive solutions.
Adhere to safety standards and regulations while working with low-voltage systems.
Work with other technicians and teams to coordinate installation and troubleshooting tasks.

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of low-voltage cabling, network installation, and equipment configuration.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
Precision in installation, testing, and documentation of cabling and network systems.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders or lifting equipment.
Flexibility to work in varying environments and respond to changing technical requirements.
Relevant certifications, like BICSI, ETA, or CEDIA, are advantageous.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Educational requirements include a high school diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
Experience requirements include a minimum of three years working as a system administrator or equivalent along with knowledge of network and server systems.
