CWS / B&W is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Louisville, KY

Position is for OVERNIGHTS [M-F 10 PM to 6 AM, rotating Sundays 6 PM to 6 AM]

Our dispatchers play a crucial role in coordinating the transportation of goods and ensuring efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include managing shipments and communicating with drivers to meet our customer's delivery windows.

Duties:

  • Ensure scheduled route plans are followed and report delays to manager / customer.
  • Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Update dispatch system with trailer weights, BOL numbers, and arrival / departure times.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor driver performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Escalate issues to the proper department, including accidents and safety violations.
  • Other office related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of trucking experience.
  • 1-3 years of office experience.
  • Proficiency in using phone systems and emails.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with drivers, customers, and supply chain partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 52 per week
