An exciting opportunity to join a leading global Investment Management firm has come live and they are currently seeking a Senior Execution Trader to join their New York Office. The execution team in New York implements quantitative strategies across diverse asset classes, with a particular focus on derivatives, OTC instruments, and commodities. This role involves executing strategies and meticulously managing portfolios with scientific rigor.

Duties and responsibilities

• Facilitating the execution of trades in accordance with the established models, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
• Collaborating in the refinement and enhancement of algorithmic execution algorithms, refining their accuracy and effectiveness.
• Formulating comprehensive execution strategies aimed at minimizing slippage (the difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which it is executed) and maximizing trading capacity.
• Actively gathering pertinent market intelligence, including relevant data and insights, to inform decision-making processes and optimize trading performance.
• Offering support in the calibration and fine-tuning of models, ensuring their alignment with current market conditions and objectives.

Experience and Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent) in finance or mathematics from a reputable university.
• Practical trading experience from either the buy or sell-side, either directly or in close collaboration with a trading desk at a high-quality institution.
• Previous experience on an OTC or Commodity desk would be especially valuable. Proficiency in Excel, VBA, or a scripting language is advantageous, and familiarity with Bloomberg is a positive attribute.
