Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist with medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding medications and prescriptions
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate medication dosages and instructions
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in the maintenance of pharmacy equipment
Skills:
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication preparation and dispensing processes
- Familiarity with hospital or critical care pharmacy settings
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and aseptic technique
- Strong understanding of medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification or training is preferred)
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license or certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required
