Overview:
Duties:
- Assist the store manager in day-to-day operations and management of the retail store.
- Learn and develop skills in various areas of store management, including customer service, sales, inventory management, and employee supervision.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory tracking.
- Train and supervise employees to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding pricing, promotions, and inventory levels.
- Develop time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a clerk or assistant manager in a retail setting is preferred.
- Strong math skills to perform calculations related to sales, inventory, and cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and employees.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in order to advance into a management role.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
Note: This position is a Manager in Training role where the successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and mentorship to prepare for future managerial positions within the company.
