** Tax Accountant ** $90-95K ** La Jolla, CA **

CV Resources is partnering with a CPA firm in La Jolla, CA to hire their next Tax Accountant with an Enrolled Agent (EA) credential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, preparing accurate tax returns, and providing tax-related advice to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in tax filings.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related inquiries.
• Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities, if necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice and guidance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required.
• Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
• Experience working with diverse client portfolios.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
