Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous telecommunications utility work, but not required.
Experience related to Traffic Control and roadside work zones a plus.
Lift and maneuver up to 60 pounds over their head on a daily basis.
Work in extreme weather conditions.
Valid Driver License and be insurable under the Company’s Automobile Insurance.
CDL strongly preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the pre-trip inspection of their truck and trailer the crew will be using that day. This includes checking the fluid levels of the truck and keeping the truck clean, neat, and organized.
Operate hand and power tools on job site. Must be able to stand, squat, kneel, and bend.
Deliver materials and tools to the job site per the foreman's direction.
Required to complete the following tasks
Arrive at job site and set up proper safety signs, cones, and prepare job site.
Identify utilities in the bore path when marked and also identify any possible utilities that are not marked.
Digging trenches, pits, and potholing manually or using mechanical equipment.
Assembly of back reaming and pull back equipment.
Splices conduit, install sweeps, pedestals, vaults, and ground rods.
Restoration of disturbed ground throughout a job site
Tear down and clean up a job site.
Maintain and properly use all associated tooling.
Following instructions for other tasks provided by the site foreman or underground supervisor.
Flagging for traffic control at the direction of the foreman as required.
Required to maintain and be equipped with PPE and have it ready for use at all times.
Employee must consider safety to themselves and crew members the top priority.
