Custom Truck One Source is Hiring a PRODUCTION COORDINATOR Near Paul, MN

 

Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with managers to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the manufacturing and financial closing of prime product.
  • Produce the P.O.’s for orders produced externally translated from SOP documents.
  • Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
  • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables for materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
  • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, or purchase, maintenance, or repair orders.
  • Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates.
  • Other duties as requested and required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Work well unsupervised and be self-motivated. 
  • The position typically requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and experience in inventory counting 
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Previous experience with Microsoft software, including Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as experience with inventory software. 
  • Team oriented. 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in related field or 10-15 years’ experience in a production or manufacture environment.

Working Conditions

  • The job is performed under extreme temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.
  • Time will also be spent in an office, processing paperwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
