Custom Management Group is Hiring a Manager, Membership Services and Meetings Near Charlottesville, VA

The Manager, Membership Services and Meetings position is ideal for a smart, detail-oriented, extremely organized problem-solver with strong computer and project management skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsible for client member relations and meeting support.

Functional area: Membership Services and Meeting Support

Reports to: Executive Directors/Program Directors

Assists/Coordinates with: Directors, Accountant

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain client filing and membership database records
  • Serve as main point of contact for client member inquiries
  • Respond to or route email, faxes, and telephone calls to appropriate client staff, committee chairs and Board members
  • Adhere to the standards for membership as defined by the client bylaws
  • Read all client publications including newsletters, brochures, announcements, as well as information posted on association websites, and be prepared to respond to questions about the information in those materials
  • Provide oversight of and backup for data entry and payment processing (e.g., batching, refunds, undesignated payments)
  • Ensure accurate data entry of client forms, such as member applications, dues renewals and meeting registrations
  • Provide logistical and programming support for meetings (e.g., assist with speaker communications, coordinate volunteers, manage onsite registration)
  • Manage committee and special interest group meeting scheduling
  • Provide client committee and special interest group support as needed
  • Work on special projects as assigned by Program/Executive Director
  • Export/report data from client databases as requested
  • Provide support for client Regional Chapters

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in email communications
  • Proficiency in internet navigation and research
  • Proficiency in Zoom
  • Comfortable with learning new technology systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Education

  • High School Education required
  • College Education preferred

Experience

  • Entry-level office experience preferred

Compensation

  • Position is full time, exempt
  • Salary Range: $43,000-$48,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, 401K (Roth and Traditional), unlimited PTO, hybrid/remote work, and more
