Job Description

As the Warranty and Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you are responsible for providing strategic and organized warranty communications to OEM / AFMT customers on warranty status, trends and action plans supporting warranty improvements. In addition, the Warranty and CI Coordinator will provide leadership and direction to drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles throughout all operations and processes.

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical service support with customers (by phone and e-mail correspondence)
• Process servicing repair orders (Return Material Authorizations)
• Oversee servicing and repairs internally
• Collect field performance and reliability data
• Provide field support, if required
• Provide support to and for on-site shop repair department
• Develop processes to maximize the effectiveness of failure-mode part analysis and minimize overall part analysis time
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve technical and commercial warranty issues
• Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement by actively managing projects to improve overall quality
• Implementation of technical, technological developments on the basis of proactive problem solving
• Responsible for the follow-up on all Return Material Authorizations, pending issues

What You’ll Bring

· Associate degree, or higher, and/or five years’ experience in a warranty, quality or technical role.

· Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic cylinder systems.

· Demonstrated ability to interpret a product assembly drawing.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

· Knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing tools and equipment

· Experience in lean six sigma a plus

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment and requires following basic safety precautions. Work is normally performed in a shared work environment divided between the shop floor and an interior workspace. This position requires wearing full PPE to protect from potential hazards on the shop floor.

This position requires anywhere from light to moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting and engaging all motions necessary to efficiently perform job duties.
