- Assist in customer relations and problem resolutions
- Understand the internal process for sales order processing activities including the appropriate processing/line sales code association for order entry.
- Create and edit sales team quotes for clients, including product specification
- Audit quotes for accuracy before order placement
- Assist designers with importing quotes into Hedberg.
- Provide ongoing customer service and support sales opportunities for existing customers.
- Possess knowledge of Steelcase and other vendor discount structure.
- Contact vendors for special pricing, product information, order entry, shipping status, etc.
- Assist in working with customers to determine their expectations and needs.
- Assist the account manager in the selling process.
- Customer Service; develop relationships with customers, support sales advisor in their absence, key contact point for daily customer inquiries.
- Assist in Accounts Receivable collections, as necessary.
- Assist the team to create bid packages.
- Coordinate the delivery of loaner chairs/samples as needed.
- Understand and compute COM fabrics and quote correctly.
- Attend sales huddles and lunch-n-learns.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous customer support, order fulfillment, or sales experience required.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Energetic, initiative-taker with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask with excellent organizational skills.
- Flexible with the ability to manage stress during peak times.
- Strong people skills, with good oral and written communication skills
- Able to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Excellent computer skills; advanced in Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF at minimum.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years work experience
- College degree preferred.
