Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of our Project Management Office (PMO) to join our Facilities and Real Estate team. In this role, you will be responsible forestablishing and managing a Project Management Office (PMO) to support our client's facilities and real estate projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, optimizing processes, and driving strategic initiatives within our client's organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Lead the PMO: Create and lead the Project Management Office, defining its structure, processes, and standards to ensure effective project management within the Facilities and Real Estate team.

  • Project Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with the client's strategic goals and objectives. Prioritize and allocate resources for optimal project execution.

  • Project Governance: Define and implement project governance frameworks, including project charters, stakeholder engagement, and risk management processes.

  • Resource Management Tool:Develop project resource management tools, including # of project managers, analysts, and support staff, to ensure projects are adequately staffed and resourced.

  • Performance Measurement: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project performance and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.

  • Cost Estimation:Develop Cost Estimation framework and if complex collaborate with professional cost estimators to provide accurate project delivery cost estimates for consulting services.

  • Project Management Tools:Utilize project management tools to streamline project planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Budget Tracking and Management: Effectively manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and proactive budget tracking and management.

  • Project Schedule Tracking: Implement milestone and detailed project schedule trackers to monitor project timelines and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Change Management Implementation: Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate project transitions smoothly.

  • Move Plan and Communications: Oversee move plans and communication strategies to ensure minimal disruption during transitions.

  • Close Out Documents: Ensure all project close-out documents are accurately completed and delivered to clients.

  • Benchmarking: Capture and track project performance data for benchmarking purposes.

  • Scope Management:Establish clear scope expectations and approval processes to prevent scope creep.

  • Site Conditions: Manage projects in cold shell site conditions, addressing specific site challenges effectively.

  • Project Control: Implement robust project control measures to maintain project quality and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Business Administration, etc.). Master's degree or relevant certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.) is a plus.

  • Proven experience (3 years) in project management, including leading complex projects or programs.

  • Experience in establishing and leading a Project Management Office (PMO) or similar function.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and provide strategic insights.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Proficiency in project management software tools.

  • Experience in the facilities and real estate industry is a plus.
