The property Chief Engineer will primarily oversee and perform technical and mechanical work for the Baymont Inn & Suites Colorado Springs. This hotel is a 65 room select service hotel and is looking for the right individual to lead the maintenance department. The position will assist in ensuring the inside and external building, rooms, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet the Company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oversees maintenance of building & maintenance tech staff and assists in ensuring work orders are completed, as well as routine upkeep on the hotel by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversees the completion of room preventative maintenance and/or "make-ready" process to prepare vacant rooms for rental.
• Ensures that the maintenance department complies with all brand standards that are set by Marriott and works within the budgetary guidelines of the hotel.
• Identify capital needs schedule and completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Conducts regularly scheduled safety meetings, ensure all MSDS sheets are current and readily accessible, and keeps up to date on all OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements to ensure hotel compliance.
• Demonstrates basic computer skills in MS Office (word, excel, outlook).
• Experience with apartment/hotel maintenance and onity door locks highly preferred.
• General knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair and basic carpentry
• Basic Knowledge of pool chemical readings/maintaining pool equipment.
• Will be required to be on call.
