Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Analyst

We are seeking a Manufacturing Execution System Analyst to join our team in Portland, OR!!

PacStar Manufacturing operates a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to initiate, process, track, and report on work being performed within the Production Environment with online software. As our MES analyst, you will take a co-lead role in processing the introduction of products and updates to products with the MES system . This is performed with transactions within our ERP system and the representation of the assembly and test process within the MES system, to allow operators and technicians to perform all required steps with updates within MES to provide real-time visibility to progress. Additionally, you will work to develop status reporting out of the MES system to meet the needs of the Operations and Quality teams. You will work closely with the Production team, planning/scheduling team, Document Control, and management to ensure priorities are met for having products effectively processed and reported on with the MES system.

Your Challenge

• Learn the PacStar production and test processes to be effective with MES additions and updates
• Maintain open and active communication with the Operations management team and the operators/technicians to provide the best support possible, working with co-worker to coordinate MES support
• Based on priorities, utilize the FactoryLogix MES software to establish products for implementation and keep them maintained with up-to-date steps to effectively allow operators to build/test the products
• Develop skills with FactoryLogix MES to become a Super-User of this system for the site
• Develop reports and Dashboards using the MES software for report generation, to meet the needs of the variety of users of the system/data
• Support Production assembly and QC/Test teams when questions arise regarding the proper and best usage of the MES software
• Resolve problems within the MES system when corrections are required
• Provide periodic training on the system to Operations team members
• Document the processes related to supporting the effective use of the MES software
• Communicate with the Software development company when appropriate for support as needed

What You Bring:

• Experience with use of Manufacturing Execution System software packages – Aegis Factory Logix preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a user of software systems in a manufacturing environment
• Software report writing, Power-BI, or similar is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Experience with SAP and Agile is a plus
• AS9100 or equivalent quality system experience is a plus
